La educación para los nuevos agricultores es muy importante en los últimos años. Datos del censo recientes indican que, en la mayoría de los países del mundo, será necesario un número importante de nuevos agricultores para sustituir a los que se jubilan en los próximos años.

Se estima que las necesidades de información y servicios, para la gente de áreas rurales, se incrementarán año tras año.

Con las limitadas zonas fértiles que existen y la continua crecida de la población, estamos al borde de la escasez de alimentos. Para ser capaces de cubrir estas necesidades, los nuevos agricultores deberían estar bien formados sobre cuestiones agrícolas de actualidad.

PROJECT TITLE: BEGINNING FARMERS EXTENSION - BEFARMEX

Education for beginning farmers has become very important in recent years. Recent census data indicate that in most countries of the world a significant number of new farmers will be needed to replace those who retire in the coming years.

It is estimated that the information needs and services for people in rural areas will increase year after year. With the limited fertile areas that exist and the population continues to grow, we are on the brink of food shortage. To be able to meet these needs, beginning farmers should be well trained on current agricultural issues.

Intercambiar y comparar las metodologías y prácticas en la educación de nuevos agricultores. Para ello, aprovecharemos el intercambio de experiencias y de ideas, el análisis de diversos programas de formación y el desarrollo de herramientas comunes que se puedan utilizar para la formación en el ámbito local, regional, nacional y europeo. Todo ello a través de reuniones y publicaciones.

Exchange and compare the methodologies and practices in the education of young farmers, taking advantage of the exchange of experiences, exchange ideas, analysis of various training programs for farmers, development of common tools that can be used in training local, regional, national and European level, through meetings and publications.
