Recent census data indicate that in most countries of the world a significant number of new farmers will be needed to replace those who retire in the coming years. It is estimated that the information needs and services for people in rural areas will increase year after year. With the limited fertile areas that exist and the population continues to grow, we are on the brink of food shortage. To be able to meet these needs, beginning farmers should be well trained on current agricultural issues.
